The moon caught the sun about two and a half degrees above the horizon, so totality arrived folded into the sunset — barely clearing the ridgeline, with the last orange light of the day in the same frame. Fifty-three stills, a time-lapse that runs on into the dark, and a two-and-a-half minute film assembled from both. All of it shot on a phone.
